ARNAS app · version of 24 September 2026 (app version 2.0)
ARNAS does not send your data anywhere. The app has no server, no analytics, no advertising and not a single third-party library. Everything you enter stays in your phone's memory.
The developer never sees your name, your reasons for quitting, your craving log or the letters you write to yourself. That is technically impossible: the app makes no network requests.
01 What is stored
You enter all of it yourself and all of it is needed for the app to work: your quit date and records of relapses; your name and the promise you made yourself; your reasons and risky situations; the craving log with your notes; letters to your future self; plans for difficult days; cigarettes per day, pack price and currency; savings goals and your answers to the course questions; the name and phone of a support contact if you added one; photos attached to tasks; language, theme and breathing settings.
02 Where it is kept
In the app's protected folder on your device. No other app can reach it — that is how iOS works.
For the widget, the app places a short summary — days without cigarettes, money saved and the next milestone — in a folder shared by the app and its widget (an App Group) on the same device. The widget only displays it; it never leaves the device.
An honest caveat: if you have iPhone backups enabled — to iCloud or to a computer — the operating system includes app data in them, ours included. That is controlled by Apple and by you in your device settings; the app takes no part in it.
03 What the app does not do
No analytics, no crash reporting. No advertising. No tracking across apps or websites, no advertising identifier. No third-party libraries. No selling of data — there is nothing on our side of the screen. No sign-up: no account, no email, no password.
04 Purchases
Subscriptions and the one-time purchase are handled by Apple. The app asks the system one thing: whether paid access is active. Card details, billing address and Apple ID never reach the developer — Apple processes them under its own policy. The "access is active" flag and the expiry date are stored on your device so Pro does not vanish when you are offline.
05 Notifications
Every reminder is created and scheduled by your device. There is no push server, nothing arrives from outside, your schedule goes nowhere. You grant the permission yourself and can withdraw it in iOS settings.
06 When data leaves the device
Only when you deliberately make it happen, and there are two such cases. You share an achievement — the app draws an image and opens the system share sheet with a link to our website arnasapp.com; you choose where it goes, and from there that service's rules apply. You call your support contact — the app opens the dialler with the number filled in; you place the call.
Now and then iOS may offer to rate the app — that is Apple’s own system prompt. We never learn whether you rated it or how.
07 Photos
The app does not request access to your photo library and cannot browse it. The choice happens inside Apple's own picker and the app receives only the image you picked. A copy is saved in the app's folder.
08 Deleting your data
Two ways, both irreversible: Today → Settings → Reset progress, or deleting the app — iOS removes its entire data folder with it. There is no need to ask us: we hold nothing.
09 Children
The app is intended for adults who are quitting smoking and is not directed at children. We deliberately collect no data about anyone.
10 Changes
If the app ever starts sending data outward — for instance when iCloud sync arrives — this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date above will change. We will not quietly widen what is collected.
